Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermometer

SKU: 5262798
Sale price$17.99

Proper storage temperatures of meats, dairy and produce are very important.  An appliance thermometer helps ensure ideal temperatures are held promoting less spoilage.  The Taylor Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermometer has an extra-large LCD readout with the min/max temperatures recorded so you can easily monitor temperature changes and make adjustments to your appliance as necessary.  If the refrigerator/freezer is too warm, food may spoil; if it is too cold, electricity is getting overused.  For easy reference, Safe Zones are printed directly on the thermometer body.  The thermometer has a convenient clip and removable suction cup for placement in an easily viewable spot in your appliances.  Thermometer reads in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.  Also great for wine fridges, cellars, deep freezers, etc.

Nice to have a record of the temps

"Pro: Convertible hanger for wire rack shelves, to see at 0 and 90 degree orientation; has a suction cup to fasten to interior. Big body and big display. Con: only refrigerator or freezer, not both at the same time. No instruction on how to remove the included battery (battery is buried very deep in the case). Thermometer is delivered with a plastic tab to prevent wearing down the battery before customer purchases it, but said plastic is very clear and you have to look very carefully to know it is there, and then use small pliers to grasp the plastic tab to remove the battery protector... which also sends the battery across the room. But you cannot reuse the protector as a battery removal trick because it would isolate the battery."

Nice thermometer, but technical defect

"Bought a digital fridge/freezer thermometer. Works well now, but there was a problem when it arrived. For no particular reason it repeatedly went blank. If I moved it around, it came back to life. After some inspection, it seemed like the battery was loose. I bent the electrical contact at the bottom of the device upwards to better contact the battery. Now it works nicely, with no problems. A minor problem, but most people would not be able to figure it out."

Not sure how to read it

"I am not sure how to read the MIN/MAX temperature. We need a thermometer that tells us what the coldest low was and the coldest high that our freezers temperature range for the day/weekend"
