Replacement for older model.

"Replacement for older model."

This lasted a while. Need a new probe

"Like others, I've had this little gem a while. I recently suspected but verified today that my probe wire is dead. Came to the site to see about a replacement probe. Or I'll be looking for another meat thermometer. Otherwise, I broke the easel early on. I'd like the words to be larger as I toggle through the temp targets. It's been OK. I think I probably paid $13 about six years ago. Today in 2024, I see the site is listing for $19. 99. Everything has gone up."

Awesome product.

"I have had this for 4-5 years we bought it from Walmart. I have use it quite often. I do need a new probe which I am hoping I can find. But I got my money's worth out of it. I love it"

Probe Wire Showing Signs of Wear After 4 Years

"Interesting that I've had and used mine for 4 years; apparently mine has behaved pretty well compared to other reviewers. (Bought model 1487-9 in a store May 2018.) I came on here to see if there was a way to get a replacement probe, since the wire is showing signs of wear around the area it goes through the oven door. On this website listing it says "DO NOT CRIMP WIRE WITH OVEN DOOR OR GRILL LID" --doesn't say that on the original packaging, which I still have. How exactly are you supposed to use it to monitor a temp inside the oven WITHOUT crimping the wire in the oven door at least a small amount?!?!? I've used it successfully in an old crock pot (I suspected it wasn't holding temp well), in the oven, and checking some things on a stove top. I probably use it once a month or so, but keeping the wire clean, degreased and un-crimped has been a challenge. I guess I'll be looking for a more shielded wire on my next one."
