great product
"I have had mine for many years now. I use it out on the grill, inside for spottemp in oven, for stovetop, for preparing my tap water for my aquarium, and for measuring deepfryer oil I have never assumed it to be waterproof, so have not tested it - it has gotten thoroughly soaked in the rain overnight though, and works fine. At camp we have another from a different manufacturer which broke on day one. THoroughly recommend this one, just don't do anything stupid with it"
