7" silicone rain gauge

"I liked the gauge, because I could read it from my window without the aid of binoculars. Unfortunately, the squirrels in my yard liked it too, because they destroyed it after the first rainfall. There must be some kind of odor/taste that caused the squirrels to pull the rain gauge plus holder out of the large flower pot (nothing planted in it right now) I had mounted the gauge in to try it out. The squirrels then separated the gauge from the mount, left the mount on the ground next to the flower pot and carried the gauge about 10 feet across the lawn where they proceeded to rip one large hole in it and put several more bite mark holes into it. At the price of this gauge, I cannot afford to replace it. I would like to suggest that you include some instructions on the packaging for how the orange ring should be used--how it should float in the captured rain water and which side of the ring should be lined up with the gauge marking to read the rain amount."

Withstands Frigid Temps

"I bought this rain gauge because I live where we can have rain and big temperature swings all in 24 hours. This silicone rain gauge has done great in the 6 inches of snow, 1 inch of rain, and than polar temps (-2 air temp/-24 wind-chill) that we have had all in 24 hours. No cracking and breaking like the older plastic rain gauges I've had previously. If you live in areas where you can have this kind of weather or forget to take your rain gauge in for the cold seasons, this will be perfect for you."

freeze proof

"Have been looking for a freeze proof rain gauge for years. My plastic one keeps getting frozen and breaking. Got one for my grand niece and nephew. Husband said I should have gotten one for me."

Lynette P. (5/5)

Cukver T. (5/5)

"Haven't had any rain yet, but sure hoping that they will be just what we're looking for."

Sandra W. (5/5)

OK Thus Far

"Not had but one significant rain since the gauge arrived. Will know more after a couple of good rains."
